they have ones near the windshield look...i assume in this car the hood comes off totaly and doesnt have hinges for fast removal..usualy people put them on cars if they think their original latch will not hold up under "speeds" but thats a nice Z Answer:

I can't tell what type of hood this one has but our club race car (www.zccne.org) has a fiberglass hood and no hinges, hence the hood pins. Makes working on the engine and accessories easier. Blue more pics and specs.....we installed a 1.8L supercharger on our car this spring and will be trying it out soon. As Bob Bondurant said after taking it out at The Glen, "needs more HP". Answer:
LOL ya got me Tony :). Well the story is that we have a club member ~ 300km north of me who is a true Z nut with a love for restoration. He is presently restoring his VIN #127 then got an ex-240z racer dumped on his lap with GNose's (Bad Dog Parts) help. He decided to make it a true race car thus the cage. WOW, nice cage install, I wonder what wall thickness the tubes, are, cause if its just mild steel, then its probably .125" thick, atleast thats what bonniville's rules are.
