2007 nissan sentra
Question:
Anyone been near one of these in person? I would love to own one of these compared to a civic or something. ------------------------------------------------ Red 1990 300zx NA -sold- Black 1990 240sx AIM=ShinZantetsu Answer:
yeah i work at the dealership, just another ugly new car to me, i'd rather see that 510 in those pics a few posts down. a 4 door, a 2 door, and a 2 door SSS version. probably won't ever see it. sentra does have a 2.0 in it. just a bigger version of the 1.8 in the versa though. 82 NA 5 spd 77 4 spd Answer:
compared to a civic si? there were a couple at the drags last wednesday running a 14.2..pretty good times 1974 260z... 1975 green 280 Answer:
I'd rather have a civic by a l-a-n-d-s-l-i-d-e. Besides the obvious, the new sentra commercials are so stupid I have to change the channel when they come on. The sentra is a good car, I drove an SER one summer, amazing tq. But overall, a 200hp civic is hard to beat in the eco class. 19[TT]91 My TT beauty is gone. 2[00]2 Honda 954RR Suzuki 1200 S; sportscar eater 19[I4]94 Integra GSR Sedan Long live the Z... aka SAHTT Answer:
I've never really been a sentra fan. I'd take the civic over the sentra. The sentra just isn't that appealing... Ask stupid questions get stupid answers... '73 240z... New Project '74 Corvette Stingray... Old Project '99 Honda Civic Si... Daily Driver Answer:
The new civics look ten times better to me than the new sentra. I'd take the new civic. Specs are about the same. The new sentra has 135hp and 140 torque vs. the civic that has 140hp and 128 torque. Looking at both cars overall I would say the civic is much nicer and if you can step up to the Si it's even better. 1977 280z: Intake, exhaust, high flow cat, header, euro damper, cam, MSD, adj. wait, is the sentra spec V the same as a sentra?? i drove like a 2003 spec V, and that thing was fast as crap! ============================================== High Performance NA L28 engine, Performance Suspension, Full Interior, 2500lbs, and room for 3 HOT girls in the car! shift_2+2 13.9 @102.7 on 205mm street tires and 110 octane :-) Answer:
No the SE-R and SE-R spec V are different than the regular sentra. They are fast but I wouldn't say fast as crap. The new civic Si will take them as would the SRT-4, cobalt SS, and saturn ion redline. All of these cars are in the same price range which makes the sentra SE-R not very impressive. Also the original poster was asking about the new 2007 sentra so comparing the SE-R is pointless. The new SE-R I've heard is schedual for a late 2007 release and from the spy shots I've seen it doen't really look any better than the regular 2007 sentra. The question is will Nissan make it so that it competes with the competition or not. Considering they only raised the hp/torque by 10 for the regular sentra I hope they plan to raise the SE-R specs by more than 10. Not to mention the new caliber SRT-4 is coming out with 300hp and will still be right around 20k. Nissan better step it up because with the current sentra looks the only thing that will win people over is performance. 1977 280z: Intake, exhaust, high flow cat, header, euro damper, cam, MSD, adj. those cars may take an SE-R in a drag, but put them on a track and the SE-R would smoke them. you should read soem of the reviews that the magazines did when they took the sentra to the autoX and road courses. I'm not warming up to the Sentra at all. I liked last year's model with the SR-V options. Answer:
You are right about the SE-R doing auto-x but I still don't think it would beat the civic si or SRT-4 no matter what track. I've read a lot on the new civic si and it seems to be doing really well. As for the SRT-4, it doesn't handle nearly as bad as most people think, especially if you have the 05 with the limited slip. All I'm saying is that when the SE-R first hit in 03 it was kick ass but because it was the first on the scene other car companies built cars to beat it. Same with the 350z. 1977 280z: Intake, exhaust, high flow cat, header, euro damper, cam, MSD, adj. Probably not, but there's more to a car then speed.
