I don't think the engines damaged, but I can't get the hood off to look. Since it's outside, I don't want to expose it. Lets hope AAA gives me enough to fix her again.

hmm I hope your rails are still straight... but though it sucks, i think a new hood, airdam, and fenders might cure most of it!

I don't see any frame damage. The crossmeber is bent on the passenger side though.

If the frame and engine are ok, I may just throw it together ghetto ricer style, like you mentioned. I'm in Socal. If insurance gives me enough, I will piece it back together, even if it's ghetto. Prob is I'll have to do it quick as it's my only car, and I can't keep it in the driveway like this for long.

I have been looking at your pictures super sized.. and it looks like the front rad support folded in, the IC is prolly bent, and so might be the rad ( pushed onto the water pump?) But apart from that … you took a clean hit… it would be much worse when you would be tboned or been hit on the side of the nose!
If I where you I would take a Saturday morning ( 8 a clock shift!) Peel off the fenders, headlights, hood, etc. Take all the damaged parts out the front.. Straighten it… see if the rails are still straight behind the strut towers.
And then drive to a junkyard or friends to collect a hood, fenders, well the stuff damged!
I see an pretty easy fix at first glance

Like they said above, get a shell and swap it in!! You have the turbo engine and harness, get a 240z and swap the drivetrain in there. You will have a 2300 lbs monster :)

Hood,, hinges, grill, radiator, fan, fan clutch, belt, electric fan if you had one, hoses, under panels and bumper.
That looks like the parts needed to get it back on the road.

Make sure you have the CORRECT MARKET VALUE for the vehicle in it's current condition. AAA will total it if the cost to repair exceeds half the cost of the car's value.
When they total it out, they will give you a Salvage title, and cut you a check for the total amount, minus the salvage value for the vehicle.
This is what they did with my wife's Geo when it was wrecked. Car was driveable, and we sold it for $600 and a goat (their "hold back" was only $500, so we made out on that one!)
I have a front cut, from the firewall forward from a 1975, and a complete 1971 parts car---any of the fram pieces you want, they are yours. If the frame is badly bent in front of the towers, simply cut it off at the towers, and weld a new front piece on---I did this on a 1976 Fairlady, and then drove it for years.
If the frame is bent BEHIND the strut towers, things get a bit more involved.
Big thing is getting things to clear the fan and front of the engine---you can "chain and oak tree" the front back out, bolt on new sheetmetal, and drive it as is in most likelyhood.
But if you need frame parts, I probably got what you need, you can have it---I don't want to see your car die because of a lefthand turn!

I'm feeling good about this now. I believe I will take you up on the parts. I had the car fully insured for 14k in 2002. Not sure what they will think the value is now. I do have about 4k in reciepts from not even 500 miles ago of driving. Unfortunately I don't have engine reciepts, since I bought it from someone. But Haltech, install, exhaust, turbo rebuild and others I do.
So Tony, how exactly would I ensure that I get fair market value from them, and what would you say is fair market value?

Don't let it die yet. take tony up on his offer. You can take to bell gardens auto body they will fix the rad support, They they fixed mine. I rear ended a volvo and pretty much thought my car was toast but they did a great job. or you can go getto red neck if you like. Just don't give up yet.

My car shouldn't have a problem making it on a trailer now that there's no airdam :-( . Shoot me an email John. I will wait and see what AAA does, and if they total it out, I will be contacting you and tony, and I'm going to try and get this car back together fast.
And when it comes back together, I will never drive like a granny again. I will cherish every lbs of torque my car has whenever I step into it (provided the road is clear). Not to mention I will look three times before turning left.
