That zx was built by Trial way back in the early 80's when Z's were being built for topspeed runs and published in Option Magazine. The motor was an L-series motor.
"1984 -Nissan S130Z 3097cc single turbo hit 279.07km/h, this record stood as the best in Japan
Later that year TRIAL tuned a Nissan s130z, 2868cc twin turbo that achieved 307.955km/h."

I am in negotiations to get one of those spoilers (Stock Turbo JDM/Euro) imported so I can use it on the Bonneville Car.

To me this says one thing most of all, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BORE YOUR BLOCK, to make big power!!
I like the idea, that the standard 2.8 TT made more power or at least more speed then the 3.1 single turbo did.
Just goes to show what some good headwork will do for these motors.
The only replacement for displacement is boost

If Electramotive can make 720 Hp on a .040" overbore 23 years ago with stone-aged electronics, it kinda proves the fact, huh?
