To each thier own. I would much rather have either of my two Z's than any camaro. If I were given a camaro I would have a little fun with it for a couple weeks and then sell for a nice profit to put towards my Z's. The camaro is like a lot of other cars where the public follows due to hype. Thats why I love the Z so much, not everyone has one and not everyone wants one. As for other domestics I would much rather have a 66-67 GTO, 70-73 Maverick, or Roadrunner over those camaros you posted pics of. Not that I have anything against camaros but as I said to each thier own. 1977 280z: Intake, exhaust, high flow cat, header, euro damper, cam, MSD, adj. back in the 80's I owned a 73 Camero just like the blue one in the first picture above. In my opinion it was a POS. It did not handle well, it was like a boat to drive. The engine was also weak and troublesome, it was a bad smoker and oil burner at 80k miles. I trashed the car doing a doughnut in a field because I hit a big rock that was hidden in the tall grass, the rock destroyed the rear suspension. The Camero's of the 60's were nice, I bought a yellow 68 after trashing the 73, it was a nice car, I wish I kept it, it looked like the car below. I'd like to know what arubabill drives to consider the vette a pile of crap? Although I can't say I disagree with him, chevy hasn't made anything good besides the vette and the LT/LS series engines pretty much since the muscle cars being talked about. I don't really see Pontiac as any better though, matter of fact they have nothing to compete with the vette. I will say this though, just yesterday I took my first loss in quite a while. I ran a WS6 Firebird, he definetly had gears and exhaust and I'm almost positive he sprayed me. His was quite a bit faster than one I raced only a couple weeks ago and beat for $$. Dad and I have a 67 RS convertible, with a merlin alum 427 sb/munci 4spd/ford 9". It's white with the orange racing stripes and black top, sits on weld draglites. Ken, he bought it from a guy in Arlington. What sucks is that now it hasn't been started in several years. When its all mine I plan to fuel inject the motor, swap in a T56 and completely update the suspension and brakes. I really wouldn't mind the camaro body sitting on a C5 chassis.
