What a sight! And the sound!! Awesome.
I kept waiting for the guy to pitch it into the pit where all the athletes were standing.

Too bad it was a test driver, not Schumacher. Still awesome! And I don't know if you guys could tell from the sound, but he was definitely running a V-10 in the car. Guess they didn't want to risk a new V-8 for an exhibition! They probably trashed the engine after the ceremony.

The echo in the stadium was nice. So was the firework. Agreed with "Skully" though. He should have made the Olympic Rings with the burnout. That would be "talent" right there!!!

hold on the olympics suck? there is a sport where rifle marksmanship is combined with cross country sking, and then 120mph luge and bobsled, and hockey how does it suck?

because they only show a sport when an American is winning.i know that some of you guys are gung ho and patriotic,but i'd rather see my favorite sports,and who wins the gold regardless of where they come from.

I'm not exactly gung ho or patriotic cause i dont consider really having allegiance and deep seeded passion for any nation so i just watch for the sport aspect. But yes you are correct about mostly showing only if americans are involved but thats the network not the olympics fault

I always love watching the Olympics, and it's great when U.S.A. wins. But like "Ballistic" said, it's nice to see others people from other sports win too. And it's nice to hear a different national anthem once in a while.
The network f**k it up and re-arrange the order of the participants and always shows the Americans last.
"Up next, the American...[COMMERCIAL]....the American is getting ready....[COMMERCIAL]....okay, he's climbing the hill and taking his spot...[COMMERCIAL]...the American is putting on his goggles...[COMMERCIAL]...he's getting the last word from his coach...[COMMERCIAL]...American up next...[COMMERCIAL].....[COMMERCIAL]...he's going right after the German...[COMMERCIAL]...[COMMERCIAL]...[COMMERCIAL]... [COMMERCIAL]
Now I just go to the internet and look at the results.
But I do try to tune in for the downhill Alpine skiing, speedskating, luge and bobsledding. Speed, watching people fall, and wiping-out are always fun to watch.

TV shows now and in the '90 are pretty pathetic. The only time I touch the TV now is when there is a special sporting event. Other than that, I don't watch TV.
