ZDayZ @ Tail of the Dragon
Question:
If any of you Z owners in the Southeast region are planning to attend this years ZDayz at Fontana Village (May 19th-21st), you better make your reservations QUICKLY. We had our club meeting tonight in Knoxville and the word is there is only a handful of rooms remaining. They are already looking for alternate hotel sites for overflow. Our club is one of the sponsors this year and we are expecting over 200 Z cars. Should be a blast. If anyone is planning to attend, send me an email. My wife and I are heading over on Friday and staying the entire weekend. Hope to meet alot of Z enthusiast and of course leave lots of residue on the Dragon's Tail. 78 280Z Daily Driver All original, Stock engine, Auto Trans w/factory A/C, 205,000 miles, new suspension and bushing kit, under primer and saving for a paint job....... 83 ZX w/T Tops, purchased 4-20-06, 122K miles, Son's restoration project Answer:

Hey guys, this is in my back yard! I'm in Knoxville and I was wondering what the route is you are going to follow? Are you going to come back up the Cherohala Skyway? That is my favorite drive in the southeast! I may join you guys. ZCAR forum motto: Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. Proverbs 15:22 Answer:

I live in Crossville and plan on taking 321 over to 129. Most of the folks in my club are not driving down until Sat morning, I am definitely heading down on Friday. Maybe we could pick a spot like the Foothills Mall or the Cracker Barrel and have everyone meet up for a cruise. The more the merrier in my opinion. Where are you located around Knoxville? My hometown is Rutledge and my wife is from Blaine. We have lived in Tn all our lives except for about 4 years in the early 90's when I was assigned to a plant on the east coast of NC. We feel very fortunate to have been able to raise our two sons and enjoy life at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. BTW, if you are interested in joining our Smoky Mountain Z club, go to our website and check it out. Great bunch of folks and all generations of Z's are represented and supported by our activities. We frequent Knoxville on a regular basis for shopping, dining, etc... so hope to Z ya around! 78 280Z Daily Driver All original, Stock engine, Auto Trans w/factory A/C, 205,000 miles, new suspension and bushing kit, under primer and saving for a paint job....... 83 ZX w/T Tops, purchased 4-20-06, 122K miles, Son's restoration project Answer:
Hey Greg, I'm in west Knoxville, Farragut to be exact. If you shop at the "new" Turkey Creek, then you are practically at my house. I will probably join up with you guys at some point, and will at least ride with you guys in May. I'll email you soon. Fontana Village, the motel rooms are starting at $62 per night. The cabins and chalets are all booked I think, but they start at about $90. Go to the Zdayz website before you book, they are arranging for some overflow rooms at discount rates if Fontana ends up full. If your travels take you thru Knoxville, there are plenty of places to stay on the west end and the drive down to Fontana is about 2 hours. Hope to Z ya there. 78 280Z Daily Driver All original, Stock engine, Auto Trans w/factory A/C, 205,000 miles, new suspension and bushing kit, under primer and saving for a paint job....... 83 ZX w/T Tops, purchased 4-20-06, 122K miles, Son's restoration project Answer:
