yesterday the headlights wouldnt stay on so i figured its a short. i would push the button and the lights would come on then, sometimes stay on, sometimes go back off . i was going to check the connection after work today, i come home and the batterys dead i mean really dead, any ideas? (and a battery tender) i have attempted to charge the battery and the charger works for a little while then the red trouble light comes on. i unplugged the charger and tried again it charged for about 10 minutes then the red trouble light once again came on. how many votes do i have for a bad battery? You can purchase a cheap specific gravity tester for batteries. Hygrometer? It will show dead cells and cells that are too low in relation to the others.
