ABS light came on, only 1600 miles
Question:
The ABS idiot light came on on my way home from the shore earlier today. I stopped and started the car a couple times (get gas, stop for groceries, etc.) and it hasn't gone out.

I've only had the car a few weeks and its only got 1600 miles on it. There are a couple other threads related to poor braking/ABS performance, in my case braking performance is still the same, just the light is on.

Simple fix? The car has to go in for the after sales service, so perhaps they can look at it then. Just wondering if it is a known issue / simple thing to adjust myself.
Answer:
probably not, it might be nothing but all the diagnostic information is hidden away.

The primary sensors that can mafunction and trigger an ABS light on most cars are the wheel speed sensors. You could do a quick check around the suspension at every corner and look for an unpugged connector or damage to wires leading to the hub on the inboard side of the rotors.

On another car of mine, a bracket which held the wire harness out of the way had broke leaving the wires to run against the wheel. I had an ABS light shortly thereafter. :-)
