After Sale Service
Question:
I recently did the after sales service on my car - yes I have the facility and skillset to do it and no, I don't care about the warranty. I am too far from Hunting Ridge Motors, or I would have taken it to them - I don't trust our local dealership.

Everything went smooth, there are only 2 points worth mentioning:

1. The inner toe link bolts that are to be checked at the after sales service were actually very loose. I am curious as to why Lotus only says to check those and why they were so loose. It is as if Lotus knows the design of these bolts/nuts are prone to coming loose.

2. I found a cover bouncing around when I removed the plate. Here are some images of the cover:

I searched the engine compartment, but I couldn't figure out where this cover goes. Does anybody know what it is?

Answer:
Hey Pete,
It's just a flywheel inspection cover. Call Nial and he'll tell you where it goes but I'm sure you can figure it out. I know what you can do with a car!!!! We are dialing in the new computer on your S2000 by the way. Should have it done soon enough............Stay well..........
Answer:
Yep. That cover is an easy one. Take off the middle panel that you use for oil changes and look up. It is tight against the oil pan on the flywheel. This is the plastic cover that needs to be trimmed with a Moroso pan.
Answer:
I think that is why the rear chassis brace was invented. To help prevent that issue. Mine weren't loose, but my dealer recommended checking them at every service interval.
Answer:
Thanks for the replies guys - I'll get it reinstalled.

Mark - good luck with the S2000 - it should be a real beast!!
