Coolant leak
Question:
Walked outside yesterday to find a small puddle in front of the drivers side wheel. Figured it was the ubiquitous oil cooler fitting rearing its head. Turned out to be coolant. Car is at the dealer now; don't know if it is a hose, fitting, or the radiator yet.
Answer:
Don't worry about it, it's how British cars mark their territory.
Answer:
I had a coolant leak on mine in the same area. It occurred with only 150 miles on the car. Ended up being the hose not properly seated where it connected to the radiator on the driver side. All fixed back then, have driven it over 2200 miles since and not had anymore problems. Answer:
You're not the only one. Mine goes in for service at the end of the month. Also, check the front radiator inlet. I had a lot of coolant in there and had to pop off the front grill to clean in there.

Answer:
I had the same issue. As it was explained to me, the sides of the radiator are fitted together by crimping the edges. The crimps are failing because during manufacturing they didn't use enough pressure. It was revised mid production. Lotus knows that this is an issue.
Answer:
Got it back. They had to replace the radiator; said that part of the radiator is composite and doesn't hold up too well (that crimping issue you described?)Got the headlight fix too! Answer:
LoA said they have had to replace 2 radiators in 2 weeks...who else is having this problem?

My radiator was replaced, but not for a leak. My heater fan stopped working for a few days in December. So the local Lotus dealer decided to replace the motor. Okay. This is a clam off job. So about 2-3 months later they had the parts. They took off the clam and replaced the motor and drilled a drainage hole nearby to fix the root cause of that problem (water laying on electrical stuff with no way to drain properly). Only I get the car back with the radiator banged up and bent up all over the top surface! They offer to bend the fins back. Like 200 of them..umm, no. Plus many were no longer connected to the tubes. So they get a new radiator after I reached someone high up at the dealer over the course of a few days. They put that in when it finally showed up and the next day when I pick up my son from School. CREAK! The door on his side rubbed against the clam! Turns out both sides of the front clam now stuck out too far. Another trip to the dealer (about the 4th or 5th) and this was adjusted while I waited after I had to be told that it must have been like that already...OR that is not adjustable they are all like that. Well back to a higher up and we got things straightened out. This is an easy adjustment done under the triangular service covers. I think I will go elsewhere from now on! Had I known how aggravating the matter would have been I would have waited until (if) the heater motor permanently died. Cuz it worked fine while I was waiting for the new one to arrive.
