5w40 Mobil 1 - Gone from Walmart?
Question:
you can find the A1 filter for 4 dollars at discount. The 10004 is pricier no doubt. I've only done one oil change so far and I used the red TRD Japan filter 001. They go for a little over 20 dollars. I won't be using these in the future due to cost. I just happened to get a couple at a better price. I was thinking of using the K&N or finding a Toyota dealer willing to buy the 10004 for me. The few dealers I've asked so far have declined ordering the 10004 for me.
Answer:
Anyone that shops at Walmart should be shot at dawn. Out of the ten richest people in the USA four or five are Waltons. The company is now going worldwide, employing people at or below the poverty level while denying a large percentage full time employment and of course benefeits. The Walton family has contributed heavily to the increasing gap between the rich and the poor in this country! What ever happened to shopping at the local store where you knew the owner. With our support it can still be that way. Just say no to the Waltons.. Answer:
Oh man... I hope this doesn't start the capitalism arguement again...Here is my thinking on the Walmart corporation... Its cheaper - so I buy stuff there. From reading your post I would assume you also hate the entire internet market. It has no benefits. Your money is going directly to the seller, and... GHASP in many cases it is tax free. Our beloved government is getting the shaft on this one too! -Whit Answer:

I don't know about that... Grandpa Zeb Walton is the patriarch of the Walton family. He is John's father and has been married to Esther Walton for over 50 years. He certainly appeared to be a happily married heterosexual living on Walton's mountain... But hey, to each their own... Answer:
Grandma was so busy with household chores shenever noticed him sneaking off to the area's version of Backbroke Mountain to hook-up with his male lover. Answer:
Back on topic, I couldn't even find 10-40 in the jugs. Had to settle for 10-30 in my truck.

Sorry for the rant Internet is fine by me if you know exactly what you want. That's how I bought my CO Elise from Mark Starr Just don't be a jerk and soak up some poor sales guys time and then go to the internet to buy the car. In my case I was treated poorly by the sales guy that was too busy selling Lambos and didn't have time for my questions. "I'll notify you when your car arrives. Please stop calling me with questions that I have no(intention of getting)answers for." Later dude! Mark had all the right answers and got back to me in a timely fashion when I would call with stupid questions like: "when will my car be here?" Answer:
Yeah, i second that. I had some AWEFUL experience with LOA. Before and after I purchased my car. Bought my car from Ascot (props to Christian K. for finding and posting about it). Though I never visited the dealer, Ascot was great. Smoothest transaction I could have ever made. Plus they are enthusiastic about the car.Not to threadjack though... Back to the oil... Anyone had trouble with their oil running low? My car has the twin coolers (don't know if that does anything to affect it burning out..) I have never really run low in between changes, but I remember reading somewhere - maybe a magazine - that the car would need refills in between changes. Has anyone here experienced this? -Whit Answer:
A couple of responses:Anyone had trouble with their oil running low? My car has the twin coolers (don't know if that does anything to affect it burning out..) I have never really run low in between changes, but I remember reading somewhere - maybe a magazine - that the car would need refills in between changes. Has anyone here experienced this? No, my car has used zero oil since new - almost 10K now. It did slowly lose a total of two quarts when the cooler broke. It was replaced under warranty. Anyone that shops at Walmart should be shot at dawn. I have to agree. Believe it or not, I have only purchased oil and a wiper from Walmart. The oil, because I didn't know where else to get M1 5w-40. The wiper because of a post here. Since they don't have the oil now, no more W-Mart and their exploiters ways... can't tell I live near Berkeley, can you. If anyone has ideas on where to get Mobil 1 5w-40 for a reasonable price please respond. Thanks. Answer:
What's the concensus on a full syn 5W-50?

I was noting my recollection of posts that talked about full synthetic base stock vs blended (or similar term) - even though the blended can be labeled "Synthetic" just the same as oils with completely synthetic base. Again from memory, only Mobil 1 and a couple of other more esoteric brands were full synthetic. Those chemical engineers out there; feel free to jump in with more correct terms and explanation. Answer:
Individual quarts of Mobil One 5w40 are still available at Wal-Mart, only the five quart jug seems to have been discontinued (at least from my local store). The quarts were $5.52 each.

Lotus requires 5W-40 synthetic for street use...
Answer:
I use 15-50W that I can find at Pep Boys. I know the old stocker, and he always sets aside a case for me. How's that for your local servicer!?
Answer:
Our local Wal-Mart is still out of Mobil 1 5-40 since I wiped out their inventory (only about 7 qts) about 3 months ago. They do however have the nice 1 gallon jugs of Rotella Syn 5-40 that seems highly regarded for $14.50 each IIRC. Looks like it will be a Rotella oil change for me this weekend. Answer:
Maybe they stopped carrying because there's a new Mobil 1 5w-40 (at least a different label) coming out
