hi all i did searches but couldn't find this one. my passenger door is just barely rubbing the front clam. figured it is just an adjustment issue but wanted to know for sure and if anyone else has had this issue?

I have been reluctant to have the dealer look at it or fix it
because if the whole clam has to come off I'll live with it!

I just push, very lightly, on the quarterpanel when I open and close the
passenger door and it doesn't rub.
A nuisance, or perhaps, nuance of Lotus ownership!

How have other dealers fixed this....can anyone comment? Many here have had this problem. I just had my Elise in for its 6500 mile service. Fox Valley covered this under warranty. They adjusted the clam at no charge. I have the exact same problem!

I had the same issue and the dealer fixed it. They even perfectly fixed the paint that rubbed off slightly. I don't believe the whole clam needs to come off. LARRY: well the fix seems to be take it to dealer. to bad my dealer is 400 miles away!

any other answers. like how hard is it to move the lower front piece? thi isn't rubbing the upper clam just the lower and this appears to be a seperate piece? Give me a ring when you have an afternoon to spare and we will get your clam adjusted. i take it the wife made it back? how you like this snow??? i don't know if the dmv salted yet or not. need to find out though cuzz i'm supposed to get my wheels and tires! not if there is salt on the road!!
