Should I buy a 350Z ?
Question:
25,800??? u should over that bitch 23 at the most. its a 2003 Answer:
zpoe: the assumption is that he wanted a used model, and had a lower budget. agreed that its better to get a '05 if you can buy new. Answer:
Thanks for your advice. I have actually stopped at the dealer and decided not to buy today. I have noticed the followwing: 1.Isn't it curious that the VIN the dealer labeled on the sticker is not the actual VIN I read off the car? 2.I also noted that the rubber pads that are meant to prevent the rear tag from rattling against bumper were not black, but orange.....!!! This means that some paint work has been done to the car's rear end. It's could just mean that someone tried to fix some bumper scaratches but also muck more. The actual VIN is JN1AZ34D73T10735213776 Can someone run it for me? Answer:
the 5 last numers in the VIN do not belong there, its a mistake. Answer:

Thank you so much. You guys are a great help. This means that there is no accident record on the car right? Answer:
I'm not sure what a corrected title means but this shows that the car was not registered in 04. The registration expired on May 10, 2004. That's almost a year ago. Where has the car been since then???? ================ 2004 Silverstone 350Z - JWT POP Charger, Brushed Aluminum Dash Kit, 20% Tint, Shorty Antenna Answer:
I think it's fine. In MD you renew registration every 2 years Answer:
i'd have a respectable inspector check it out anyway... my sis bought a 2000 GT Stang that ran fine and everything, everything worked shifted just fine... we took it to the dealer for a possible throw out bearing replacement. and once he had it on the stand he called and told us to come and look at it... he showed us where this car had been wrecked so hard that it forced the engine block into the firewall puncturing it approx. a 2 inch hole. the exhaust had been rewelded into place instead of bolted. there was wax pen marks (numbering) on the driveshaft like you would see if a you went to the junkyard to find a replacement part. and bondo all over the floor pans and such then painted over... we took it to carmax there they found a slight difference in paint tones in the fenders, hood and bumper indicating that they were repainted or replaced for some reason... OH!!! and the greatest part CARFAX showed nothing of this.... AIN'T IT GREAT??? be careful... looks can be decieving. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Chrome Silver '03 Touring -MT- C.F. Nismo Wing Shorty Antenna (Stolen!!! Im sure you can find a new 04 and get it at a great deal!! Personaly if it was me, I would spend a couple extra g's. You dont know how that car was treated. Could have been babied, but could have been put thru hell. I just dont think I could spend that kind of money for a used 350 when I can get a brand new one for not much more. But thats just how I feel...I ordered my car and waited 3 months just because I didnt want a car that has been sitting outside at the dealer. ------------------ 04.5 DB Performance Typhoon Intake Injen SES Straight Tip Exhaust Blue Z-Xtreme Grounding Kit Kenwood MP3 Player EBC V4 Greenstuff Pads Clear Lens Carbon Fiber Piller Covers 20% Tint 5 Coats of Zaino ...... DaddyPhatSaks: Your post reminds me of a question I've been meaning to ask for some time now. Between picking a car up from a dealer's inventory, and ordering one from Nissan, which option would allow for a better deal? I'm guessing a better deal could be had at the dealer. Have also read about folks complaining that the dealers just keep delaying your delivery once you've made the downpayment on a pre-ordered. Any opinions on this? No intentions of hijacking the original thread, if needed, could someone please post this on a new thread, not sure I know how to do it. Answer:
Buy one, Z33's are the nicest car you can buy for the price, plus you would be keeping faithfull to the Z! If you can spend a little more I would go for a G35 Coupe...huba huba! ------------------------------------------------- Road & Track Executive Editor, Richard Homan 1994 "Give me a 300ZX Twin Turbo and a three-day weekend in the Sierra Nevadas, and i'll come back with the meaning of life." Well you order one thru ur dealership.....but if they are trying to get rid of what is on their lot, then Im sure u can get one cheaper that way. Never been delayed. Actually I think nissan might be losing there touch... Now that I think about it my dad has a G35 Sedan and he has had to bring that bitch in to the dealer for alot of stuff. The CD Player/Radio has been swaped 3 times, the AUTO tranny was buggy and shifting all wrong, The E-brake broke and is still broken to the day, It's actually at the dealer right now getting a new drivers seat installed becuase the leather on the original one Aged to fast!!! thank God there has been no Feathering =-) Nissan is starting to worry me? Have you checked the Consumer reports reviews on the 350Z's? might help some. ------------------------------------------------- Road & Track Executive Editor, Richard Homan 1994 "Give me a 300ZX Twin Turbo and a three-day weekend in the Sierra Nevadas, and i'll come back with the meaning of life." zpoe, Yeah, I guess it's not _quite_ that bad. I've only done about $6k in mods, so far. Helluva ride, though, and it'll be paid off in 6 months! Z33 Answer:

Repeat from another post... The current Consumer Reports auto issue lists the 03 350Z as a "used car to avoid" However the 05 350Z is a Recommended Buy. Interesting..... Answer:
Man, you guys are adding a lot of stress to me... 2003, LeMans Sunset, Touring $24K, 35k miles, all bells and whistles execept navigation.... That is the exact model, colour and package I want... ____________________ 03' LeMans Sunset, Track Ed, Brembo Brakes, Nismo Exhaust, Nismo Intake Answer:
LeMans...IMHO I would not buy a '03 model!! Shop around for better pricing...dealers are dealing on brand new 04's & by the way the price you should pay for a '05 is $300.00 over INVOICE and maybe less! lol My SB ZR still feels like HEAVEN....what a wild ride! Answer:
Lemans, I know it sucks when you find what youve been looking for, and are all excited to get the new car youve always wanted but in my opinion, dont get that car. 1.) Its warranty is almost finished prob due to miles. may be wrong though. 2.) Most important- 24grand for an 03 with 30k+ miles. my god. I have an 03 Track ed. with all options except nav, with only 13,000 miles and an extra 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty and the most I could get for my car would be about 26 grand. I would keep looking for a better deal or sell a kidney on ebay and get a 2005 Track. I know its easy to get one locally but you could do better if you flew somewhere. I bought my Z on ebay from a dealer in Las Vegas, flew there, he picked me up at the airport, bought the car, won 400$ on blackjack that night, lost 200$ on strippers, and had one heck of a 8 hour road trip back home to new mexico. by the way, this was 4 months ago,(baby, if your reading this, it was before I met you sweetheart.) I paid 27,900 for my loaded track w/o nav 6900 miles. BEN 2006 Acura TL, Black on Black, 6 speed Navi with Brembos. Answer:
03 is a car to avoid being used............ are you stupid.... i have an 03 and besides the feathering... i love my z and any damm car out there have problems i work for ford...... and i drive a z.... mechanics building up a car some care some dont i know that for a fact.......... but i'll recomend a z to anybody that likes them.. cause i classy and sporty... if you buy the z when ever you get next to any other car you will love you z from that day on cause no damm cars out there look like the z its a combination of a audi and porsche........ what else are you looking for its perfect especially if enjoy breaking peoples necks when they see you coming......... 03 z is the same **** as any other 350z outthere you just have to take care of it.......... i need a z32tt convertible 5 speed Answer:
Does anybody think that this is a respectable deal on a 2005 350z Touring. The MSRP is $33440 and I am trading in my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee (over 148k miles and breaking down) for $1500. The lease amount for 39 months will be $510 each month (with $1500 cash down). I am in NJ and have tier one credit. Thanks for any info. Z33 Emblem Zaino products Zaino ROCKS!
