Has anyone successfully disabled the ABS by putting a switch in one of the wheel sensors?

I saw that mentioned in the autocross forum but I'm not sure anyone actually tried it.

I engaged "ice mode" on several occasions and it's more then a little unnerving. The ABS is more harmful then good in a closed environment in my opinion. How about just pulling the fuse? You lose the speedometer when the fuse is pulled... I guess you don't REALLY need it but I was hoping for a more elegant solution. Just disconnect the connector to the ABS sensor. BTDT.
