problem with A/T pls. help
Question:
Problem with my brother's civic lxi 96 A/T , the scenario is this nag chance na po ng atf fluid (total atf dexron 111) mga 3 1/2 liters ang naubos the problem po is ok ang hatak or arangkada sa D4 pero pag arangkada na and running na to 40 to 60 kph. ung rpm nya abot til 4-5, and di agad nag shift automatically matagal responce or me delay but after revolution hahatak na and deretso na takbo, anu po kaya problem?? ok naman ang hatak pag 1st.. me nag sabi there were a problem in computer box wala daw sa timing is that coreck po ba?? kindly help po tnx...ano po kaya better na gawin?? god bless to all.. I said no on computer box...... You have problem with upshift delayed and seems like you have a broken 1-2 shift accumulator spring or you have excessive main line pressure. Check also your driveshaft (CV axle) from the tranny, try to wiggle your driveshaft and look for loosness. If it does, have your mechanic fix that problem. By the way, did you change your tranny filter and did you distribute your fluid right into all gear after changing fluid? Numerous things may cause this sort of problem. Answer: gud pm mga sir.. san po ba nakakabit ung trans filter?? i have no knowlegde po kc bout matic, kc dko napalitan filter ung atf lang po tama po ba ung nakabit ko na atf? its total dexron 111, mga 3.5 liters ang nakabit, start q kanina and sa P shift ko cya sa D4 ok naman me cpa then umabante car, then repeat ko cya in R ganun din, is that mean na ok pa ang lining ng transy?? na check ko un cv joints ok naman, i also smel the fluid and smell sour naman and redish pa ung atf,by d way nag change kme last tuesday ng atf, natakbo q na rin car,ang problem ung delay after 40 to 50kph, ung rpm goes 4K to 5k rpm, thanks po sa lahat sa inyo very big help po kau.. god bless.. Answer: sir, anong gear ang delayed pumasok? is that the 3rd gear or the overdrive? Answer: bro. ganyan din ang experience ko before tulad na tulad sayo. nag-bakasakali lang talaga ako na makukuha sa ATF. kaya naka 3 palit akong ATF sa isang buwan. pero ganun pa rin ang nangyari. delayed talaga. Thanks po ule, more power...:bowako: Sir Kabuke0, thanks din po, nagpalit na ko ng atf, pina drain ko muna then change kami ng total dexron 111 tama po ba nakabit namin o mas ok ung higher brand na sana?? ang problem dko napalitan ng filter (1st time palang kc sa Matic) where ba located ang filter banda para ma check ko? or kung magpalit aq nun palitan q ba ule ng atf?? sa gasoline station kaya ba nila magpalit?? ano brand ang maganda mabili na atf and tranny filter? Tranny filter is inside your tranny gear box w/ bunch of lug nuts like your engine oil pan. Look under your tranny and you will see it. To access the filter you must drain your tranny oil into a clean bucket if you want to re- use your oil then remove all the bolts to drop the pan. Filter is above the pan and its a plat w/ two bolts on each side, remove the filter and replace w/ new filter. Replace also your tranny pan gasket just to play safe. Do not over tighten your tranny bolts or leak will occur. Tranny fluid is need an extreme attention. First put two quarts(1892 ml) into your tranny....Start you engine(idle) then shift your gear to reverse, wait for 5 seconds then shift to drive wait for 5 seconds then shift to #3 #2 #1 on each gear w/ every five seconds each. Reverse the procedure again 5 seconds each, then shift to Park stop engine check your tranny oil for level. Add oil if nessesary again do the same procedures.
