[1]gusto ko po sana ipafull check-up ung kotse, san po pwede and mga magkano pag check up lang, i mean mga shop ba meron na bayad pag check palang? or un ata ung inspection 1 at 2, pero mga magkano po un?

[2]and meron po ba surplus parts ng bmw dito sa metro manila, san po kaya meron? kelangan ko po kasi nung circular plastic cover nung hi-beam at low beam, tinanggal ko na ung luma kasi sunog at yellowish na.. eto po pics nun lugar nun.. san po kaya ko makakakuha?:help:

[3]meron ba nakukuhanan ng remote key? kasi nakuha ng dad ko ung car at 1 susi lang nakuha nya, wala ung susi na my remote for keyless entry.. other than casa, meron po ba ako ibang makukuhanan nun? ung sa casa kasi sabi oorder pa daw and around P12k+ :eek: ung presyo, so tanung ko po kung meron outside casa? wala na po kasi way na makuha pa ung original remote keys, dahil nawala ata nung may-ari dati.. or recommended po ba na pakabitan ng ibang keyless entry mechanism w/c cost only around P2k+ compared sa susi sa casa na P12k+...?:twak2:

1. Try Autovec at cubao or European Motors/ basics Libis.
Autovec is at E rodriguez near cubao. if you see the burger machine stand at your right side yun na yun autovec mismo. Autovec is managed by a German owner. had my E36 clutch serviced there before ok yung experience ko.
For parts try mo sa European Motors/ Basics. its at the back of Floor Center at Libis near Honda Pasig.
2. Yung circular na cover you mentioned wag mo itapon yun. it's actually made of glass. lilinisin lang yun it would look good as new. when i had my angel eyes installed at megaart auto sinabay na linis ng headlights. akala ko din wala na pagasa yung pagkayellow nya i was even thinking of getting new headlights pero nung nalinisan good as new na ulit:

3 I think casa lang talaga available yung key. may transponder chip pa kase sa loob nun sa germany pa ioorder yun

ung sa headlight cover ko di po ata glass ung akin, kasi ung sunog po nya nagkabubbles na at nabutas na din ung center. Haven't tried Inspection I or II at Autovec yet. yung clutch slave cylinder pinagawa ko noon. To give you an idea sa Autohaus Libis ngayon may Promo 8k+ for Inspection I and 15k+ for Inspection II.
Tawagan mo na lang Autovec at these numbers to give you a quoatation:

Kung plastic yung headlights mo most probably yung E36 nyo baka yung imported na USDM version. Sa Euro version glass yung headlights. pwede ka bumili ng part na yun sa EUropean Motors/ Basics Libis and sa Autovec.

Mahal magpa inspect sa CASA, other euro car repair shops charge less. If i remember correctly sa Top Gear in Aurora Blvd near Nestle house, mga 2k lang inspection 1 and inspection 2 is 4k-5k. Hindi kasa parts yun, it's all inspection of everything, engine, shocks, electrical, AC, and whatever. Even BaSICS doesn't charge that much.
Yun susi mahal talaga yun, and you have to know your VIN number. Buti when I got my car it had 3 keys although wala din yun keyless, di mo naman kailangan talaga ng keyless remote e since naka power lock naman. Yun problem mo is yun extra key since you cannot have that duplicated here. Although you will never be able to lock yourself out naman so ok lang, wag lang mawawala susi mo.

Tama ka ... basta E36 headlight, pareho lang headlight ng 316, 318, etc. Siguraduhin mo lang na pang-sedan/saloon, coupe o touring/wagon, dahil iba ang headlight ng convertible at compact (hatch).

AFAIK lahat ng Euro headlights, projector ang main beam at glass ang lens cover ... pero walang oem angel eyes ang E36, aftermarket lahat. If you want it to "look" oem, you may want to choose the yellow ones. But most people go for CCFL's (cold cathode flourescent lamp) which emit white light. If you want to save money, you can just buy the halo kit and install it yourself ... or save more by making your own halo using LED bulbs. There's a thread here in on how to do it. Mas mahina nga lang ang liwanag ng LED kumpara sa CCFL.

Pagkaka-intindi ko sa post mo nag-iisang duplicate key ang hawak mo ngayon. Lahat ng E36 may central locking, pero hindi lahat may immobilizer (kung saan gamit ang transponder ng susi), remote or alarm. Check mo na lang kung may transponder nga yang susi mo.

Regarding Insp I/II, heed everybody's advice and stay away from casa's :grin:

Ah ok, atleast I can have inspection 1 & 2 either in basics or top gear, and plano ko just to get a list of everything that needs replacement, hanap parts then papakabit or palit ko nalang sa mechanic na kilala ko, what do you think guys? problema lang ata resetting tools?

Yup, isang key lang hawak ko and di siya ung remote key. Problem ko kasi kaya gusto ko remote key or keyless entry is for turning on and off the alarm.. Medyo hassle kasi pag nagaalarm then i have to go to the car just to switch it off. How do I know when I have an E36 that has a remote receiver?

Sir, ask ko lang ano pong service magagawa kaya nila sa headlights ko? And meron po kaya kayo nakita mga clear corners, side markers dun sa 2nd hand euro parts? or red/white tail lights?

Ung Top Gear po, ok parin po ba service nila? Meron po kasi thread na sinasabing naging pangit na daw po ata service dun.. Thanks! :)

I do my own resetting on my E36. Paper clip nga lang ginamit ko :grin:

I'll get back to you later regarding the key ... hanapin ko lang muna yung reference CD's ko :grin: IIRC, yung transponder key lumabas na lang yata sa mga late-model E36's.

Sir ask ko lang, ung transponder ba ung para sa keyless entry? Nope, para sa immobilizer yon ... hindi pwedeng i-start yung kung wala. Kung keyless entry lang, most probably pwede balak mo at i-bypass na lang yung alarm trigger sa pintuan siguro.

Don't even think of messing with the car's alarm system. Kung madalas sya nag ttrigger I suggest that you disconnect the horn for the alarm na nakatago sa ilalim ng right headlight. The blinkers will still trigger pero it will stop din after 2 rounds. That's what I did. Kung gusto mo paayos alarm mo sa casa, you have to leave your car there and the alarm should trigger by itself while its there, if not, uwi mo ulit. If it does, they will check your censors, 2500 yata yun, then they'll try to fix it, which would cost a kidney and a half. There's no way to take the alarm off, BMW has strict guidelines for it. I asked a lot of shops and hindi talaga matatangal yun alram system.
Top Gear is ok, it's not great. But compared with Basics and Autovec, they are more tolerable. You can go there at 8 in the morning and umpisahan nila agad yan. The price is cheaper than Autovec and Basics. Kung gusto mo bumili ng parts, dun ka sa Basics, that's where Top Gear get their parts. Then pagawa mo sa mekaniko mo kung kaya nya. Kay mike's parts limited yun stock, you can call them up and ask first.
Alex Restoration is an autobody shop. yun nga lang may tauhan sya na marunong sa electrical, yun power lock ko na tagal ginawa ni top gear sa kanya 30mins lang. And i'm sure mga brake light mo pundi na, kayang kaya nya, direct connect pa para walang problema.

ahh.. ganun pala, pero pano ko po malalaman kung meron nga sya receiver ng keyless entry? kasi if ever papaorder nalang ako ng keyless key sa BMW, kung wala naman e dun na po siguro ung option ng third-party keyless entry na papakabit..

ayun nga po, kaya gusto ko keyless entry kasi minsan din nagloloko na powerlock ko sa driver side door, minsan pag sususian ko to unlock nagjajam at ayaw ma-turn, so i have to go to the passenger side to unlock the car and then open the door at the back of the driver seat to manuaaly pull up the lock of the driver's door. medyo hassle... hehehe..

I will ask my mechanic to search for the connection of the horn to the alarm, atleast it will stop the horn, medyo scandaloso e.. hehe..

Sir tanung ko lang what do you mean direct connect? Pundido na nga ata ung brake at park lights na double contact ko, pero diba bulb replacement lang un? Hirap din pala humanap nung pang double contact sa likod, ung 21/4 watts..

regarding powerlock, kayang kaya ba nila pagkalas ng mga pinto? kinakatakot ko kasi lage ung pag nagpacheck ako o nagpaservice, example ung powerlock baka di maayos magbaklas sa pinto at sidings o di sila gaano sanay kaya baka may masira..

Mas magaling pa magbalik nung pinto si Bong kaysa yun unang gumawa sa Top Gear. Kung iisipin mo din kasi, kung nag pipintura sila dun, baklas talaga lahat, so they know better how to assemble it back. To go there from Quezon avenue, left turn ka dun sa papuntang roosevelt, you'll see a Mercury drugstore as a landmark, then after you cross the bridge makikita mo na yun Alex Restoration sa kanan. wala pang 1 kilometer from q ave yun alex restoration.

May shop sa pasong tamo extension owned by a Lebanese named Najji (not sure sa spelling)na may mga surplus parts ng bimmer.malapit daw ito sa terry's deli. ok din gumawa and prices are very reasonable. doon dinadala ng kaibigan ko ung 540i nya.
