PBM's with aftermarket/conversion front ends

So my car was hit Saturday and I'm getting a new front bumper, fender and full shave/fill job. I was thinking about going for an 05 Monaro front or something else, I just don't know. If there are any of you with a PBM (or other) please post some pics and where you ordered from, the car's in the shop now waiting on the adjuster. So I need to make a decision soon. Thanks for the info and your inputs.
UnHolyGTO's Monaro Conversion:
Doc GTO's:
Order from JHP (sponsor, link on the left).
I think the parts are about $900-1100 and shipping is around $500.
Both those cars look awesome.
unHoly is one of my favorite GTO's around.
Thanks Keith, I can always count on you to make up my mind.. I didn't want to post the poll twice.. I've got the guy at the body shop putting together a quote as we speak, I'll keep ya'll posted!
i like that front end, but i think it looks oddin pbm. i think it looks great in every other color. probably bc/ you can see all the curves and everything with other colors.
still looks good though.

You're welcome man. If you get it and find out you don't like it, I'll trade you my GTO bumper. I'll pay for the paint. :shiner: LOL.
DA GOAT! is BACK!!

Just picked the car up last night with a brand new shiney 402, AFR 225 heads, Flowtech cam and a overdriven, polished maggie 112 on top of it. SCR is 10.8:1 and I'm hoping that the 112 will make at least 8 psi. Just driving home I could tell this is going to be a torque monster! Gotta put some miles on it before the dyno but the main thing is after 6 weeks I finally have it home! Damn, I was starting to think my Dodge Nitro was fast!!!
I'll post up a sound clip soon - sounds BAD ASS!
congrats bud!!!!!!!!!!! wish i could afford all them goodies to.
Why do you care if it makes 8psi. If it makes that much I would say something is wrong with your 402 combo. 8psi of not hotter then the sun boost on a 402 with good heads will make 650whp. A maggie 112 doesn't have a fighting change at that kind of power. Should be a tire shredder though!!!

Shouldn't matter what boost you're making .... 8psi on your set-up will be a lot of work for that Maggie with more cubes and more airflow thru the new cam and heads. Just get her on a dyno and see what it does.

Didn't think the LS1 would pop so soon and I've always wanted a 402. The maggie is definitely gonna slack so maybe if the TVS ever gets straight I'll change if not WTF! I'll easily make more than 650 just gonna have to use a little spray!

Just get her on a dyno and see what it does. I'm not really worried about the boost. Just kinda thought that if it was was making 14 psi on the LS1 it should make 8 on the 402. If not so be it. I just want to get it efficient with the small blower.
cool dude keep us posted on the numbers.
Yeah man, let us know, so i can post it up on the pulley chart. Don't forget to give details about it.
And although I wouldn't say a plain 112 would knock the doors down on 650, you shouldn't knock the build. There's 2 or 3 people I know of who are 600-610 at the wheels with a 112 and an LS2 without meth.
I'm knocking on the doors of 600 rear-torque with a 112 and an LS2.
Git'r'done!
Should be an animal..
Good luck with it DA GOAT :D
Oh snap....I want a ride...I need to come up to Mooresville here soon
you should make a guess my hp thread.
DA GOAT:
Very interested to see what the 112 does in your car with the 402. I suspect impressive numbers. Must be a blast to drive. Sound clip!

I hate you......J/K Hope to see you guys soon. Hang in there buddy! You'll get your beast back too. It's gonna be great once we get the CRG together!
shouldnt be a problem. rear tires will.lol Wassup big guy! See if you can make us some contacts for tires!!!
I would love to check out your car. I'm not in NC yet but will be within 2 weeks. I am planning a trip to see Nick soon after. Congrats on the monster.
Lets go, Break it in on the Dyno !!!
I'm interested to see what it makes and how much PSI it can build.
congrats on the new setup. now bring that beast down to bradenton in jan

subforum:
there is always a good showing of rogue goats that caravan down. hope to see you there.
Glad to hear you're back on the street.....It should be a beast. get that sound clip out soon.
Theres a guy on corvette forum with a similar set up to this... Not sure about the nitrous though... But his 402 maggie 112 put doen 600rwhp and 700ft/lbs. Its nuts how power under the curve will let you outrun higher hp cars
I've talked to the guy with the vette. He is in Canada and that vette is an absolute BEAST! There are many, many people that dog his ass but he is taking the maggie 112 to no mans land! I hope it holds up for him because he is spinning the crap out of it.
I'll have a sound clip up soon, only of idle. Stay Tuned!
Here is the sound clip!

Auto Position Indicator

Guys,
Not sure what exactly has happened but the little red indicator that slides up and down beside the shifter to indicate the gear position has disappeared!!!
Can anyone direct me to a decent instruction for getting into the shifter asembly e.g. taking apart the center console area?
bump....somebody must have removed the center console of an A4 GTO.
go into the knowledge base (up top) and click on the billet shifter install. the first part of it will show you how to remove it
Mines been that way about the last six months, just stopped working one day. If you figure it out I'd love to know.
i had mine replaced by the dealership.
It's not fun. I had to do this when I removed the interlock solenoid. I managed to lift up on the indicator base just enough to disengage the indicator flag.
Once you get the console apart there are 4 screws that hold the shift indicator plate down. Important: Take note of where the "feet" of the indicator plate locate on the shifter base. More on this later.
Remove those 4 screws and you will be able to lift up on the indicator plate. There is a channel (IIRC) under the "PRNDL" window and that is where the red flag protrudes. You'll have to blindly reach under there and move it with your finger.
There is a fork-shapped piece that is part of the shifter base on the left side. It moves with the lever. Your job is to get the tail of the indicator flag into the fork AND get the feet back to the right place of the shifter base. The fork goes way up inside the channel so it can be difficult to judge. I put the car in 4th and set the indicator in the right spot. Then gently slide the base down and hope the tail of the flag got into the fork. Test your job by moving one gear each way and seeing if the indicator follows.
Once you get it in the fork, make sure the feet are in the right place. If they are not in the right place and you shift the lever into park, the boot WILL rip at the back. The leather is held between the halves of the indicator base with these little plastic pins molded into the plastic. The pins are stronger than the leather. I managed to tear the holes open and there is just enough stress on the boot in park that the clamping action between the upper and lower won't hold it.
Now, put the rest of the console back together. While you are in there, consider removing the shift lever/brake pedal interlock solenoid. 2 screws and the snip of a wire and you no longer have to press the brake to shift out of park. It also will not make a noise. HTH.
OEM Quality HSV setup for the GTO Cluster Prototype, Need Input!

1 Attachment(s) Just wanted to see if you guys liked the overall design? It was a little tricky to make all of this stuff look good but I think they are finally ready for production.
any suggestions before I pull the trigger OTHER than the font/spacing thats not going to change.
:boink:
Can you make white or grey faces?
Those are white.
I'm in for 1, I like no HSV on cluster face, better fit with my holden/HSV/pontiac GTO/Chevrolet Lumina Coupe :)

it looks beautiful!
Those are white. I should have been more specific. My bad. I ment, I know you will be making white if you decide to produce them. I wanted to know if you would consider making grey ones as well?
what about the "MHP - K/hp"? looks funny w/out it.
i like it
with or with out a logo
if you got enough people to make colored 1's would you do them ? if so id be all for a blue face with HSV logo
oh god. that's beautiful.

IT'S AWSOME, I THINK A LITTLE RED SOMEWHERE (TRIM) WOULD ACCENT IT NICELY.
Its updated with a bit more red to more closely match the HSV version :) These will be on sale in about a week or so I know you guys have been hounding me for them.
When do you expect these to be ready Chris?

Make them cheaper.
I wish I could get one where the redline was @ 7k instead of 6.5k
Make them cheaper. You get what you pay for ;) They will be as cost conscious as they can be but these are done by an OEM Tier 2, they arent cheap :)
I wish I could get one where the redline was @ 7k instead of 6.5k Why? The Tach goes to 7500 LOL
How much are these to cost?
Due to the small batch (IE 10) and the extra tooling/design costs about $175 per unit, which includes free install and recalibration.
You have to do this... after I buy a black one... oh well... I like the all black better anyways .
Fit's with the red/black theme and there is already too much red....
Heheh my bad :)
Heheh my bad :) I kill you
;)
I kill you till you die from it :D
Those look good!
I spoke to you about doing my whole interior a while back chris, still havent forgotten just need to get a second vehcle, cause i still need mine every day and cant drive with no interior...
however, i REALLY like those, how long before we can see some installed?
I kill you

HELP..Need Klears NOW.

I need to buy a set of clear sidemarkers and have them here in 2 or 3 days...Anyone know where I can find a set to have overnighted?...
www.klearz.com
But I do not know about the over-nighted part. That's where I found my set.
www.klearz.com
But I do not know about the over-nighted part. That's where I found my set. I believe Klearz is the only place you can get them unless you find them used... They probably have a set, but they are located in Canada... not sure you will be able to get them overnight...
not with Klearz I think they use the Pony Express....
Damn...lol. I guess I just gotta send them an e-mail and hope for the best?
I've had my set on order for a week and a half. Nothing yet.
I ordered mine from JHP. Havent' got them yet though......xmas present.
I ordered mine from JHP. Havent' got them yet though......xmas present. You can order the genuine GM Monaro side indicators from JHP. If you need then in 2-3 days I know dede has a set 4 sale $90
http://www.jhp.com.au/jhpgto/
The JHP are the side badge replacement (nothing wrong with that, I have them myself :) ), what he meant was replacements for the Pontiac GTO front bumper markers. They come orange stock and wants clear replacements.
Good luck on the Klearz replacements, I'm pretty sure they make them by order, or at least have to paint and assemble them as you can pick the housing color. I don't think they stock them on the shelf. :(
